SILK SCREENING ARTWORK GUIDE
CROP MARKS: -
All CD Artwork needs Centered, North, South, East and West crop marks on all
plate separations. - Each crop mark must be
85 mm apart from center.
NON-PRINTABLE AREAS ON
CD: - Maximum printable area is 117 mm.
Artwork must not exceed this limit. -
Stacking ring is a non printable area, which is 32 mm - 36 mm. Artwork must not
print inside. - Inner ring 20 mm is also a
non-printable area.
COLOR SEPARATIONS AND SCREEN
ANGLES: - Make sure all linked images are
in the correct image mode. Images should be converted to CMYK = four Color
Process or, Specified Spot Color = PMS, Pantone Number. (specify PMS
number). - Screen Angles should be set up as:
Cyan = 15 degrees; Magenta = 75 degrees; Yellow = 0 degrees; Black = 45 degrees.
It is important to specify this to a service bureau, if you plan on providing
film. ARTWORK WITH HALFTONE SCREEN, TINTS
AND VIGNETTE GUIDELINES: - The dot
density of screen tints and vignettes should be limited to between 20% and 80%
and should utilize and Euclidean dot. FILM: - CD film is always Positive, right reading, emulsion side
up. Circle dot. - Line screen is 80
- 100 lpi. - CD artwork must have centered
crop marks and crop marks positioned North, South, East, and West. Crop marks
are placed 85 mm apart from center. - Screen
Angles should be set up as: Cyan = 15 degrees; Magenta = 75 degrees; Yellow = 0
degrees; Black = 45 degrees. It is important to specify this to a service
bureau, if you plan on providing film. - All
four color process (CMYK) jobs will need an overlay proof, additional cost of
the proof and film to create the proof is the sole responsibility of the
customer. - Artwork that is one color or more
spot, must have a color laser, or 3M Rainbow Proof. - If you require a white background to be printed as a base for your
artwork, you must create a separate background donut, along with your
file. |
